6 July 2026 – We are pleased to announce that the International Islamic Financial Market (IIFM) and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) have officially launched the process of the Shari’ah-compliant Repo Project: the IIFM-ICMA I’aadat Al Shira’a (Islamic Repo) Standard Master Agreement (ISSMA).
Today, we took our first operational step by circulating the product structure paper to our joint specialized working group for review and feedback. This pioneering initiative reflects IIFM's firm commitment to developing advanced financial instruments that enhance liquidity management and promote and support the integration of Islamic finance into global capital markets.
On this occasion, Dr. Ahmed Rufai, Acting CEO of IIFM, stated:
"This historic project represents a fundamental milestone and a major step forward in the evolution of the Islamic financial industry. Our objective is to pioneer innovation and standardize documentation to meet the aspirations of Islamic financial institutions worldwide." He further emphasized: "It marks the beginning of a new path that adds immense strategic value to the Islamic financial industry, strengthening IIFM's position as a leading global platform for Shari'ah-compliant standardization."

انطلاقة استراتيجية: مشروع اتفاقية إعادة الشراء (الريبو) ينطلق رسمياً
6 يوليو 2026 – يسرنا أن نعلن أن السوق المالية الإسلامية الدولية (IIFM) والرابطة الدولية لأسواق رأس المال (ICMA) قد أطلقتا رسمياً مسار مشروع اتفاقية إعادة الشراء (الريبو) المتوافقة مع أحكام ومبادئ الشريعة الإسلامية: "اتفاقية إعادة الشراء المعيارية الرئيسية (الريبو الإسلامي)
لقد بدأنا اليوم خطوتنا التنفيذية الأولى بتعميم ورقة هيكل المنتج على مجموعة العمل المختصة من أعضاء المؤسستين للمراجعة وإبداء الملاحظات، في مبادرة رائدة تعكس التزام السوق المالية الإسلامية الدولية الراسخ بابتكار أدوات مالية متطورة تعزز إدارة السيولة وتدعم تكامل قطاع التمويل الإسلامي مع أسواق رأس المال العالمية.
وبهذه المناسبة، صرّح الدكتور أحمد الرفاعي، الرئيس التنفيذي بالإنابة للسوق المالية الإسلامية الدولية قائلاً:
"يمثل هذا المشروع التاريخي محطة جوهرية ونقلة نوعية في مسيرة تطوير الصناعة المالية الإسلامية. إن هدفنا هو قيادة الابتكار وتوحيد المعايير والمستندات بما يلبي تطلعات المؤسسات المالية الإسلامية عالمياً." وأكد قائلاً: "إنها بداية مسار جديد يضيف قيمة استراتيجية كبرى لقطاع الصناعة المالية الإسلامية، ويرسخ مكانة السوق المالية الإسلامية الدولية كمنصة دولية رائدة في توحيد المعايير المتوافقة مع أحكام ومبادئ الشريعة الإسلامية."
